What is the Futures Margin Provided?
If you have plans to detail in the futures segments you have the provision of availing for the leverage as well. The rates vary for both the segments, i.e. if you wish to invest in Equity futures; you can avail up to 1x leverage. On the other hand, you can avail up to 1x leverage for Currency Futures.
What is the Interest Charged on Margin Funding?
There is an interest levied on the leverage you have opted for and it needs to be paid. So, when you avail for this leverage amount, you are required to pay 18% as the interest. Also, there is another addition, i.e. of GST, and they combined sum up to the interest charged.
What is the new pledge rule of SEBI?
The new SEBI rule states that, until and unless you pledge your securities, i.e. use your stock as collateral, you cannot avail for the Margin funding option. The shares which you pledge will be marked as the same. Such shares are re- pledged by the stock broker to the clearing corporation post which the margin is obtained.
