Mohan Meakin IPO – Company Overview
Mohan Meakin establishment dates back in the year 1855, via the setting up of Brewery at Kasauli by Edward Dyer. This company and its founder are knows to have introduced brewing, the modern beer in India. He further expanded to breweries and distilleries at Simla, Solan, Lucknow and Mandalay (Burma).
Then, another man H.G. Meakin, with a similar aspiration founded Meakin & Co. Ltd. He went on the acquire old Simla and Kasauli Breweries, while also setting up more in Dalhousie, Ranikhet, Chakrarta, Darjeeling and Kirkee.
These two establishments then merged and formed alliance later on to work efficiently in the future, while also export their beer feasibly.
This has then been incorporated by multiple master minds into the company it is now. Today they have added multiple distilleries and breweries in India. Also, they have a turnover of around INR 400 crores.
