    How to generate Universal Account Number?

    The employer needs to generate a UAN for an employee who is employed for the first time. A company can only generate this account if it has 20 employees or more.

    If the employee already has a Universal Account Number, then he needs to share it with the new employer before getting access to new account.

    Some of the steps to generate a new UAN are:

    1st Step – Firstly employer has to log in on EPF Employer Portal Login portal. To login, the employer can use an establishment ID and password.

    2nd Step – Once an employer logs in, then he needs to click on the individual register option.

    3rd Step – Some of the personal details that the employer needs to enter are the employee’s Aadhar, bank, and PAN.

    4th Step – After entering details, the employer needs to approve it under the Approval section.

    5th Step – Finally, the employer can get access to the new account through EPFO. The employer can then link it to the PF account by using some services like the PF UAN login portal.


    Activate and Login to EPFO portal using UAN

    If you want to activate UAN online, then you must have your Universal Account Number and PF number. Some of the steps of the its activation process are:

    1st Step – You need to visit the official portal and then click on services. You can see it under the employee’s section.

    2nd Step – Under the part of the service, you can select Member UAN/Online services. After you do this, you can enter the portal.

    3rd Step – You need to enter some details include UAN, PF member ID, and mobile number. After entering the captcha code and click on the authorization PIN button.

    You will get a PIN on your registered mobile number. You can agree under the disclaimer and then enter the OTP number.

    Additionally, you need to click on validate OTP and activate. Once activation happens, you can get a password on your registered mobile number.

    You can then access the EPF account.

    • Aadhaar card
    • PAN card
    • Bank account details and IFSC

    Steps to link Aadhar with UAN and PF

    1st Step – Firstly you need to login to the EPFO portal and click on the employee’s section.

    2nd Step  – To login to the portal, you need to enter your UAN ID and password. Click on the sign-in option and enter the captcha.

    3rd Step – After you enter the portal, you can select manage and then choose KYC.

    4th Step – Under the KYC Tab, you can enter your details, including your Aadhar number, PAN number, etc.

    After submitting all these details, you can see them under the Pending KYC section. It will take at least 15 days for your employer to approve these details.

    After details are approved, you can see it under the Approved KYC tab.
