Swiggy on a roll – Sales increased by 25-30% due to Covid

Because of lockdown everybody has to maintain social distancing and because of this nobody cant go to restaurants to eat.

25-30 per cent sale has increased of swiggy because everybody prefer to order food at home these days.

With a lot of people still working from home, office lunches had declined, so overall order volumes were still down more than 10 per cent.

After the outbreak there were some reduced profit of the food delivery business.

The company, however, has claimed an average recovery of 80-85 per cent of pre-Covid order value across the country.

The more big order the more profit overall for the company.

In October, swiggy delivered almost 100 million packages since lockdown was announced.

In the lockdown swiggy started pet food delivery which also helped swiggy a lot getting back to normal.

Company is getting 20 per cent of its revenues from the non-food business like grocery, hyperlocal deliveries, medicine delivery and others.

East states like Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha have given the permission of alcohol delivery and in these states, there was a lot of profit because of this.

States like Maharashtra and Karnataka will also open the delivery of alcohol at homes.
