SpiceJet has announced to introduce 66 new flights in the domestic network starting its operation from March 28, 2021.
The updated network involves the association with Boeing 737s and regional jet Bombardier Q400s. It aims to increase the connection between metro and non-metro cities.
They also announced that they want to develop regional connectivity along with connection with many leisure destinations.
The declaration of these new flights involves increase in connectivity among these regions- Ahmedabad-Darbhanga, Hyderabad, Pune, and Kolkata.
Along with this, they announced the nonstop flight interconnecting Mumbai, Leh, Srinagar, Hyderabad Surat, Kochi Pune routes.
This announcement was made in support of demand from smaller regions which were at first connected with SpiceJet under the UDAN scheme.
As a result, it will increase the customer for domestic as well as international flights. The customer engagement will emerge from the regions which are now added in the enhanced routes.
The promoter of the company Ajay Singh and Avani Singh is also the founder of a healthcare company called as SpiceHealth.
They announced that they have opened new laboratories for COVID-19 testing for the general public.
This initiation mentions to facilitate faster testing to fight against the virus. It has started its operation in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi.
Through the mobile app, the customer can make an online appointment. The customers have to pay nominal charges for the test.
