This announcement was made via video conference. The PMAY-G, launched in November 2016 is also going to be productive by now as Modi has addressed Housing for All by 2022.
The whole release was made in the presence of UP’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Narendra Singh Tomar (Union Rural Development Minister).
1.26 crore houses have already constructed all over India under the PMAY-G. The scheme is categorized on the basis of geography.
A 100 percent grant of Rs 1.20 lakh will be given to each one beneficiary in plains. Moreover, in the hill areas like the J&K, hills states and difficult areas, the beneficiaries will be granted Rs 1.30 lakh.
The first installment will cover 5.30 lakh beneficiaries and the second will cover 80,000 beneficiaries. The second installment will occur when the beneficiaries will avail the first installment under PMAY-G.
Apart from this, the PMAY-G also comprises of MNREGS, where the beneficiaries will be supported by unskilled labour wages as well.
This scheme provides many provisions as it is internally linked with many schemes and sourcing funds like SBM-G.
In collaboration with the MNREGS or SBM-G an aid of Rs 12,000 will be provided for constructing toilets as well.
This scheme also comes up with provisions for combining with other state or central government under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Scheme. As per the given provision, the state or centre can merge for providing LPG connections.
