Petrol rates have crossed the mark of Rs 85 in the National Capital for the first time. On Tuesday, the prices increased by 25 paise per litre each for petrol and diesel as well.
However, diesel rates marked the highest after the second consecutive day mounting at Rs 75.38 per litre in Delhi.
However, the price data showed diesel rates to swarm up at Rs 82.13 in Mumbai. Although, Tuesday is reflecting the highest rates but, the petrol and diesel prices climbed up on Monday as well at the rate of 25 paise per litre.
The petrol and diesel prices differ on state-to- state basis and also depends upon the local taxes as well.
The prices are also amended according to the international rates and foreign exchange rates on a daily basis.
Fuel retailers Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) continued with the daily price alteration.
The petrol prices in Delhi were however slightly lesser as compared with the petrol prices in Mumbai at Rs 91.80.
Although, the petrol prices of Mumbai are respectively very high in comparison, but as per Delhi, the prices are all higher at constant rate.
According to experts, the diesel prices are marginally lesser than the last record of October 4, 2018. There is no as such notification regarding a little relief on excise duty by the government like 2018.
