India’s leading furniture solutions brand, Godrej has successfully bagged giant contracts for the metro projects in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kochi.
This has further strengthened its presence as a leading contractor in infra projects worth Rs 250 crores.
Moreover, the scope of work comprises carrying out the civil finishes, cladding, block works, façade glazing and metal ceiling.
The firm will carry out works like aluminium louvers, structural steel works, plumbing, railing and horticulture in these metro projects.
Primary consultants for these metro projects include Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for Mumbai and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation for Bengaluru.
It also has Kochi project under the Kochi Metro Rail, as per reports.
Meanwhile, Godrej Interio has delivered more than 1500 turnkey projects so far.
This consists of the Cochin International Airport which was India’s first greenfield airport under a public-private partnership.
It is currently a part of four metro rail projects across the country namely Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kochi.
In Budget 2021, the Finance Minister clearly emphasised on the need to augment the country’s metro rail network.
Godrej Interio has won contracts including nine stations for Mumbai Metro connecting from Dahisar to Kamraj Nagar neighbourhoods.
Also, 12 stations for Bengaluru connect HSR Layout to Bommasandra whereas 2 stations for Kochi Metro line.
The COO of Godrej Interio stated that these innovative design solutions will help Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kochi metro projects immensely.
Further, it will meet the highest standards in terms of contemporary looks and functionality.
