Startup BitClass which is Bengaluru based in which basically all the independent teachers can come online and take classes.
It has raised approximately 2 million in the seed funding.
This seed funding round is led by Venture Highway with participation from AET Japan, Figure Eight Investments, and Waterbridge Ventures.
Gunjan Kejriwal, the founder of bitlclass and it was set up in April 2020.
More than 2000 active teachers are there presently and he also said the aim of the startup is to make the teachers independent which then will be called ‘teacherpreneurs’.
He also said that the findings will help increase the salary of the teachers.
For paid classes, BitClass earns a commission out of the fee paid to the teachers.
There are also classes for jewellery design, chocolate making and yoga.
Kejriwal said that BitClass will be looking to raise another round of funding in the next few months.
COVID has also helped increase the idea of online teaching as well and that is why all the online learning apps are in very much profit.
Industry estimates suggest that the tech sector has been the biggest gainer of the COVID-19 lockdown across educational institutions in India.
